AIRSKIFF PATENT PENDING
Hi, I’m Bob.
I’ve been fishing since I was a kid. I grew up around Pine Island Sound in Florida, and that’s where it all started for me. Most days, I was out chasing redfish in knee-deep water with a buddy and a push pole. Nothing fancy. Just learning what worked by being out there as much as I could.
That’s where I really started paying attention to boats. I figured out quick that the right skiff makes a big difference. I didn’t care about bells and whistles. I wanted something light, stable, and simple. A deck I could stand on all day without feeling cramped or crowded.
In 1997, I built the Mudminnow. It was small, fast, and made to fish shallow. People still remember that boat, and some are still trying to get their hands on one. My friend Ragen was there through all of it. He was an integral part of the Mudminnow days and was with me every step of the way.
But even then, I knew I had another boat in me. The Mudminnow was great for skinny water, but if you wanted to hit the inlets or run in chop, you had to pick your days. I always dreamed of building a skiff with a wider beam and zero fear of taking on water. That’s what led me to AIRSKIFF™.
⟶ I wanted safety and stability, no matter the water. Inflatable air tubes are trusted worldwide for that and they’re a big part of why this boat exists.
⟶ I wanted a wider platform. Most micro skiffs today are still 40 to 60 inches wide. AIRSKIFF is 80 inches wide, stable, roomy, and easy to reboard, even in deep water.
⟶ I wanted to ditch the clutter. When I used to fish on flats boats, I’d always say, “All I really want is the front casting deck.” So I built that. A clean, elevated deck. Nothing wasted. Nothing in the way.
⟶ I wanted a boat that’s lightweight, fast, portable, and built for 1 to 2 serious anglers who live to sight-fish shallow water.
And just like before, Ragen’s right here with me for AIRSKIFF. He’ll be heading up the wholesale side as President of the AIRSKIFF Dealer Division and will be involved every step of the way.

This has been a long time coming and I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out. I built AIRSKIFF for the kind of fishing I’ve always loved and I hope it gives other anglers the same feeling it gives me every time I step on deck.
